To preface this all, I started a new project and I’m pretty excited about it, but I guarantee the friends closest to me are pretty sick of hearing about it. For a while, I’ve wanted to start making intimate band session videos again under my own control. I kicked around different names, but kept coming back around to AnchorTapes.
AnchorTapes will host regularly uploaded live and intimate songs, profiles, behind the scenes tour coverage for all kinds of musical acts, and soon enough they will be hosted at anchortapes.com.
Our good friends in The Fling in Long Beach, California, allowed us to do the first session on them. Sayer took a trip with them to Las Vegas to film them playing at The Mirage, and I sent a camera with them on their tour through Northern California and Nevada. Then I filmed this song Nothing Makes Sense with them at their practice space in Long Beach.
